Featured Great Pyrenees Rescue: Great Pyrenees of Montana
The Great Pyrenees Rescue of
Montana is an organization whose purpose is to facilitate the rescue,
rehabilitation and placement of abused, unwanted, displaced and abandoned Great
Pyrenees dogs into safe, caring companion or working homes. The group also
works to educate potential adopters about the breed so that they are prepared to
provide the best environment for the adopted Great Pyrenees or Great Pyrenees
mix.
They advocate for shelter dogs
and seek to educate the public that adopting a rescue dog potentially saves that
dog from being euthanized. Whenever possible they appear at events where they
can meet the public and present information about their rescue efforts and about
Great Pyrenees dogs.
Although the group is
headquartered in Lavina, Montana, they serve the entire state, and in fact
frequently find themselves accepting dogs from other states when they are
able. They are the only Great Pyrenees rescue in a
four-state area.
